  • With company retirement plans folding what do you think we can do? We've got to work just to keep bills paid because our retirement checks (not social security checks) were what we were banking on holding us in our 'golden years'.   • If government is requiring me to put money into SS for 50 years I expect to at least get it back as they had lead me to believe I would. Same as medicare. I've never been on welfare and hopefully will not have to but a lot of people are because they have not had time to put money away.

  • I think it's time for the politicians to give up some of their salary. As well as the wealthy and big corporations - they can give up some of their tax cuts. Politicians appear to think it okay that my salary is less in order to prevent big corporations from loosing their profits.

  • The budget will come much quicker if congress did not receive their salary until it's passed.  The health plan will also be much better for all if the government employees had to use the same system that I will have to use.
